For over 30 years, St. Anthony on Main has been a place where all of Twin City Residents and Tourists alike come together to enjoy all the fun and beauty of a day in the Minneapolis Riverfront District. St. Anthony Main is a tradition, and when you look at all there is to do and experience it's easy to see why that tradition gets bigger and better every year!

There is always something happening at St. Anthony Main “THE HOST to the MINNEAPOLIS RIVERFRONT” with its convenient attached parking ramp. Offering visitors more than 150 acres of parks, trails, picnic areas, landmarks, Movie Theater, restaurants, shops, family-oriented events, entertainment and attractions. Walk or bike to explore the whole area. From the Stone Arch Bridge to Boom Island, the Riverfront is the perfect place for indoor and outdoor adventure.

St. Anthony Main provides year-round free entertainment for the whole family. From spectacular fireworks displays on the 4th of July and during the Minneapolis Aquatennial to seasonal celebrations such as the Stone Arch Festival of the Arts on Fathers Day weekend and the Minneapolis Oktoberfest in September. Also enjoy daily movies at the 5 screen Stone Arch Cinema and wherever you look, St. Anthony Main offers the best view of Minneapolis’s beautiful skyline. In the summer months, enjoy the decks and patios of Pracna on Main, Vic’s, Tuggs and the Aster café and the free outdoor Music Series in the court yard between Tuggs and Vic’s featuring the best of the twin cities live music scene with rock, blues, jazz, soul, R & B, and more!

The Minneapolis Riverfront District is many things to many people. To some, it's a giant archaeological dig. April 15th - St. Anthony Main Decks and Patios open

Weather permitting, the decks of Vic’s and Tuggs Tavern and the patios of Pracna and the Aster Café will be open for lunch, dinner and cocktails thru the spring, summer and fall month’s. May 16th - Ard Godfrey House Dandelion Days

1pm-4pm
The annual Celebration features face painting, dandelion necklaces, tours of the historic house, and recipes for dandelion salad and tea. The Ard Godfrey House is the oldest wood frame house existing in Minneapolis. This Greek Revival style home was built by millwright Ard Godfrey in 1848, near the corner of Main Street and Second Avenue SE. The house was moved several times before arriving in Chute Square park in 1909. Ard Godfrey helped build the first dam and sawmill which put the waterfall of St. Anthony to use in 1848 He was also the first Postmaster on the Village of St. Anthony. His wife is credited with bringing Dandelions to Minnesota, as she did import Dandelion seeds from Maine which would be useful in her recipes for such things as Dandelion Bread and Dandelion Tea. Early Spring – Water Power Park Opens For the Season
Never before has the general public been able to able to walk this piece of land and experience the power of the mighty Mississippi River as it flows over St Anthony Falls. You feel the power of the river, the spray from the falls as you stand on one of the three overlooks with the skyline of minneapolis in the background. Park in the St. Anthony Falls Ramp and take connective tunnel to Main St. and you will find yourself just across the street from water power park.

June 4 thru Aug 30th - St. Anthony Main Free Outdoor Concerts

The 2010 Free outdoor summer music series bought to you by Michelob Golden Light Draft will be celebrating its 29th year. The concerts are held in the courtyard between Tuggs Tavern and Vic's Restaurant. St. Anthony Main presents some of the best talent in the metropolitan area. June 19th - 20th - Stone Arch Festival of the Arts

Located on Historic Main Street, in front of St Anthony Main, Riverplace and Pillsbury A Mill. More Than 250 Artist Booths by Professional Artists Selling a variety of quality products for all tastes & budgets. Star Tribune, City Pages, Xcel Energy, and St. Anthony Main free performance stages showcasing dance, theater and music performances throughout the weekend. The Whole Foods Market presents the Culinary Arts Quarter. Also the "Art of the Classic Car" display with more than 150 awesomely artistic cars.

July 3rd & 4th - Minneapolis Red White and Boom

The Minneapolis Riverfront District 4th of July Celebration begins on the 3rd with a family 5K run then music & a movie on water power park open to the public. On the 4th in the morning there will be a half marathon race. At 4:00 pm music begins on Main st. and at 6:00pm music and family activities start in Father Hennepin Bluffs Park and ending with a Fireworks Display at 10:00 pm. July 22nd - Life Time Fitness Torchlight 5K

Help kick off this year’s Aquatennial Torchlight Parade by running in the Life Time Fitness Torchlight 5K. It’s a fun event for the whole family that happens in downtown Minneapolis in front of thousands of spectators with a portion of the proceeds going to KS95 for Kids™ benefiting Children's Cancer Research Fund and Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare ! July 24th - Aquatennial Fireworks Display

Kick off the 2010 Minnesota Aquatennial With the spectacular fireworks display over the Mississippi river that can be seen best right down by the river in front of St Anthony Main.

The Twin Cities Polish Festival will immerse Minnesotans in "all things Polish", presenting a kaleidoscope of unique cultural and educational displays, food and top-notch entertainment along Historic Main St. in front of St. Anthony Main.

Aug 21st - 2010 NightOwl Bike Ride

The ride is Saturday evening, August 21, 2010. Three ride flights are offered: A 3.5 mile ride at 7:00 pm, an 8.5-mile "Family Flight" at 7:30pm, and a 16.5-mile "Hoot Loop" at 7:30pm.

Sept 10th, 11th, 12th - Minneapolis Oktoberfest

The old country meets the new at Oktoberfest on the Minneapolis Riverfront, along the river at St. Anthony Main.  Feast on authentic GermanSample a variety of German & Bavarian imported beers and wines in the Biergarten. Music and dancing from 4pm to 9pm Fri 12pm to 9pm Saturday
Admission and music are free for all ages. A variety of authentic food, beverages and crafts will be available for purchase. A portion of proceeds from the event will be donated to the St. Paul Jaycees.

Sept 11th - James Page Blubber Run
This "bout a 5k run" will be the 15th annual fun run from downtown Minneapolis through the Minneapolis Riverfront district starting at the Stone Arch Bridge and ending at St. Anthony Main. Times and activities to be announced.
